NZCT Auckland Open 2011 KARATE CHAMPIONSHIPS

We have the honour of inviting you to The NZCT Auckland Open Karate Championships. This tournament is run and organised by Karate Auckland, the Official Organising Body for Karate in the Auckland area. Our hope is for all participants to be successful in this tournament whether it is because of great results or good improvement (but hopefully both)

ENTRY FORMS AND INFORMATION
The 2011 NZCT Auckland Open Karate Championships will be held at the AUT Sport Hall on Akoranga Drive, Northcote, North Shore.
Any enquires contact:
- Participation in this tournament is open to all member clubs of Karate New Zealand.
- WKF Rules will be applied in the Tournament.
- All entries are final. Please copy one appropriate form per competitor. Ensure all entry forms are completed correctly as incorrect weight or grade information may result in disqualification from the tournament.
ALL ENTRIES MUST BE RECEIVED with FEE By 20th Sept 2011. NO LATE ENTRIES WILL BE ACCEPTED

TOURNAMENT ENTRY FEES: Competitor Fees
Non KNZ registered member’s $40.00 first entry then $10 for each additional division
KNZ registered players $30 then $10 for each additional division
TOURNAMENT PROGRAMME:

8.30am Doors Open for warm up

9.00am Senior Tournament commences 14yrs+ (Kata events first)

12pm Junior Tournament commences 6-13yrs (Kata events first)
NOTE: It is the player’s responsibility to listen for events being called and to report to the Marshall on time. Failure to do so may result in disqualification.
The following dress and safety equipment code will apply:

All competitors must wear mouthguards

All competitors must wear a clean white Gi in good condition

All male competitors (particularly seniors) should wear groin protectors
-
All female competitors (particularly seniors) are encouraged to wear chest protectors
-
6-9yrs old competitors are required to wear shin and Instep protectors but may be non WKF or KNZ type.

10yrs + must wear shin and instep protectors, red and blue KNZ or WKF approved.
NOTE: If there are insufficient entries in a particular division then divisions may be combined or not held.
